A whole raft of rarely seen posters from the Lindsay Brown collection coming up for sale at Omega Auctions on the 14th September. Most of these look screen printed using the split fountain technique where one colour will fade to another across the page. Brown was the Social Secretary at Ewell Technical College in Surrey in the 60s and 70s so was in charge of booking bands to appear at the site. Above is the star exhibit from the auction, designed by David Arnott (as are several of the others) and features Nick Drake. Another poster in the collection is from Drake’s last known gig where he left the stage mid-concert and both are expected to fetch a high price.
