This is one of the most beautiful vinyl records I’ve bought all year, Sculpture’s ‘Rotary Signal Emitter’ which doubles as a zoetrope when spun and filmed.
Check out the film they made of it, their site is here and they’ll be performing in London at the ICA on Jan 7th.

@deadair, I’m well aware of TMR but hadn’t seen this release so thanks for that, I have a special Bonobo zoetrope design debuting this week so keep an eye out 🙂
sorry didn’t mean to shout…. http://thirdmanstore.com/green-series/interview-with-tempest-storm-by-jack-white
again, pretty fun stuff… I didn’t buy one, but I had a good look at it when i was in nashville this year…
if you don’t know much about TMR, it specialises in garage rock and americana. there’s some neat stuff on the label, and some interesting pressings.
DID YOU SEE THE ONE OF TEMPEST STORM ISSUED BY THIRD MAN RECORDS?
Thanks John-Paul, that is very cool indeed 🙂
Sharon & myself also love zoetropes.
Here’s a little video about one that Pixar has made (with a couple of twists)

So awesome, I just found his/their music on soundcloud the other day and loved it. I’m totally starved for more music like this.
Well didn’t you get some nice presents this year.
